Budget Surplus of Kuban Reaches 270 Billion Rubles Since 2025

In the Krasnodar Territory, commonly known as the Kuban region, a substantial increase in "own revenues" has been reported for the beginning of 2025. According to regional head Veniamin Kondratyev, the consolidated budget's own revenues amount to 270 billion rubles, marking a 19 billion ruble increase compared to the same period last year.

The growth in revenue is attributed to the harmonious work of regional blocks, municipal teams, and close cooperation with the entrepreneurial community. The positive growth rates for all three major revenue sources – tax on personal income, excises, and the simplified tax system – have contributed to this significant increase.

Specifically, the simplified tax system revenue in the region has grown by 105.9% compared to the same period last year, while tax on personal income exhibits a 115.5% growth rate. Excise revenues have also increased by 115%. Notable districts, such as Tbilissky, Beloglinky, Severny, Kanevsky, Apsheronsky, Tikhoretsky, and Bryukhovetsky, as well as Gelendzhik, have shown an increase in revenue of over 30%.

While no specific municipalities with over 30% revenue increase were mentioned in the available results, larger municipalities with industrial and infrastructure projects are likely to outperform smaller or more rural ones. The launch of Russia's first creative production cluster in Krasnodar’s "WB Kuban" industrial park is expected to attract 30 enterprises from light industry and other sectors, providing entrepreneurs with favorable sales channels, supporting product development and export, and including educational and consulting services to help brands grow.

The Krasnodar Territory has become the third region in Russia for industrial development, with the volume of products produced increasing 2.5 times since 2015. Ongoing investments and industrial expansion likely contribute to increased municipal revenues through property, land, and business taxes.

While not specific to Kuban, Russia overall is seeing record acreage and yields in oilseed crops like sunflower, rapeseed, and legumes. This trend may also apply to the fertile and agriculturally significant Kuban region, contributing to higher revenues from agricultural products, land use, and exports.

The regional administration reports that 35 out of 44 Kuban municipalities showed a growth in own revenue dynamics above the level of the corresponding period of 2024. Veniamin Kondratyev did not make any new statements about the number of municipalities showing a growth in revenue dynamics above the level of the corresponding period of 2024.

In summary, the Kuban region's revenue growth can be attributed to strong industrial development, the launch of creative and industrial clusters, and agricultural expansion. The largest hubs, especially those with industrial parks, are likely leading this growth. Continued investment and support for entrepreneurship and export are expected to sustain this upward trend.

The growth in revenues in the Kuban region can be linked to the prosperous work of industrial clusters, enhancements in finance, and the growth of business activities. This is seen in the significant increase in revenues from the simplified tax system, tax on personal income, and excises.

The launch of Russia's first creative production cluster in Krasnodar's industrial park, along with the growth in industrial development and agricultural expansion, are anticipated to attract more businesses, facilitate product development, and support export, potentially boosting municipal revenues.
