Anapa on the Rise: A 5-Year Transformation under Mayor Vasily Shvets

In the past five years, Anapa has undergone a remarkable transformation! From a popular Black Sea resort city, it's evolving into a modern hub with a flourishing economy and improved social amenities, all under the leadership of Mayor Vasily Shvets.
Economic Renewal
Boom times are here as Anapa's economy surges! With the city's budget jumping fivefold to an anticipated 28 billion rubles this year, and resort company revenues soaring 4.5 times to approximately 60 billion rubles, investment is flowing like never before.
Tourism is the cornerstone of this growth, but the smart money is also betting on a diverse local economy. Over the past five years, 7,200 new rooms accommodating 20,000 people have sprung up, and 7,000 jobs have been created. You'll find 68 hotels in Anapa operating on an 'all-inclusive' and 'ultra-all-inclusive' basis, making it the envy of the region.
Anapa's investment portfolio is rich with 60 projects worth a massive 600 billion rubles. When completed, these projects will add an additional 22,000 rooms and 25,000 jobs to the bustling city.
The consumer sector is expanding as well, with a 2.2 times surge in turnover, reaching over 210 billion rubles. Vineyards have also expanded, covering nearly 5,500 hectares.
Social Progress
Health, education, and leisure facilities have seen significant improvements in Anapa. Five schools with a combined capacity of 3,500 students have opened, as well as a children's technopark, 15 "Growth Point" education centers, and a kindergarten. Furthermore, six mini-polyclinics have been built, and 18 medical institutions have received much-needed capital repairs. A regional vascular center now serves residents at the city hospital.
The city's green spaces have also gotten a facelift, with 15 parks and squares being renovated. Currently, the 9-kilometer-long embankment is undergoing a complete overhaul.
Urban Evolution
A new general plan, land use and development rules, and local urban planning standards have been approved, putting an end to uncontrolled construction in the resort city, reports the city administration.
