Boris Neisser passed away

Neisser, who began his career with Messe Düsseldorf in 1995, took the helm of Destination Düsseldorf (DD) in 2000. Under his leadership, the association expanded to include around 150 members, contributing to enhancing Düsseldorf's attractiveness through events such as the Schauinsland-Reisen Jazz Rally, the France Festival, the Tour de Düsseldorf, and ProWein goes city.
Neisser's work transformed DD's events into internationally recognised showcases of Düsseldorf. His efforts were recognised in 2005 when he was awarded the French National Order of Merit (Chevalier de l'Ordre National du Mérite) for his services to Franco-German friendship. In 2012, he was named "Düsseldorfer of the Year" in the culture category.
