Bitcoin analyst Tom Lee from Fundstrat proposes a striking price prediction, attributing it to a significant supply-demand discrepancy in the cryptocurrency market.
Bitcoin Bull Run: Tom Lee Predicts Staggering Price Hikes
In a recent interview with CNBC, Tom Lee, the Head of Research and CIO at Fundstrat, shared his latest predictions for Bitcoin's price. Lee believes that Bitcoin is primed to reach a record-breaking ATH this year, driven by expanding global liquidity and a potential dovish Fed policy in 2026.
Lee forecasts a jaw-dropping surge of at least 41% from the current Bitcoin price before the year's end, with potential targets of $150,000, $200,000, or even $250,000[1]. However, this is just the tip of the iceberg for the crypto expert, as he envisions Bitcoin outshining gold in terms of network value and eventually reaching unusually high figures like $2 million, $3 million, or more[1][2].
"I think at a minimum, it should have the same network value as gold, and if you look at above-ground gold, it's probably $23 trillion, so that would $1.2 million for Bitcoin. But I think Bitcoin is more valuable than gold. Bitcoin could be $2 million, $3 million long term, even higher."
Lee emphasizes that the scarcity of Bitcoin, with approximately 95% of the 21 million coins already mined, and the relatively small fraction of the global population that currently owns Bitcoin, creates an enormous demand versus supply imbalance. This imbalance suggests that there's vast potential for additional Bitcoin buyers over the coming decade[2].
