Billionaires worldwide have seen their fortunes fluctuate significantly this year, with the US-China trade conflict playing a notable role. Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg have all experienced substantial losses, while Warren Buffett has maintained a net gain.
Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, has witnessed a significant drop in his wealth this year. Due to the US-China trade conflict, Musk's fortune has decreased by approximately $130 billion, a staggering 30% loss. In a single day, Musk's wealth shrank by $11 billion, followed by another $20 billion loss on Monday. Meanwhile, Amazon's Jeff Bezos has lost around $45 billion since the beginning of the year, with a single day's loss of $7.6 billion. Meta's Mark Zuckerberg has also seen a significant decrease, totaling $28.1 billion in losses this year, including a $9.4 billion drop on Monday.
Warren Buffett, the renowned investor and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, has experienced losses as well. Recently, he suffered a setback of $10.7 billion, but his net worth has still grown by $2 billion since the year's start. Buffett's total fortune stands at $155 billion, placing him sixth on the list of the world's richest people, according to Bloomberg.
