Bavarian Timber Firm Aicher Holzbau Honored for Green Commitment
Bavarian timber construction company Aicher Holzbau GmbH has been recognised for its commitment to environmental and climate protection. The company, founded in 1983, has been awarded the Bavarian Environmental and Climate Pact for its sustainable practices.
The pact, a cooperation between the Bavarian State Government and business associations, aims to motivate companies to contribute to climate change through voluntary measures. Aicher Holzbau, which has evolved from a sawmill to a powerful timber construction company, relies on the consistent use of dry wood and wood-based materials for solidity and durability.
The company's dedication to operational environmental and climate protection has been recognised multiple times. In 2011, it received this recognition for the first time, and most recently, on September 26, 2025, by District Administrator Tanja Schweiger. Managing Director Michael Aicher accepted the certificate of recognition from Bavarian State Minister Tanja Schweiger and Bruno Schleinkofer, second mayor of Regenstauf. The award is valid for three years and entitles the use of the official logo 'Bavarian Environmental and Climate Pact'.
Aicher Holzbau GmbH's commitment to environmental and climate protection serves as a model for other companies. Its recognition by the Bavarian Environmental and Climate Pact motivates others to follow suit and adopt sustainable practices in their operations.
