Baumschule Project Brings 41 Micro-Apartments to Baumschulenweg
A new residential project, 'Baumschule', is underway at Baumschulenstraße 35, near the Baumschulenweg S-Bahn station. The development aims to alleviate local housing pressures and stimulate growth in Treptow-Köpenick.
Urban Catalyst is behind the Baumschule-Wohnprojekt, which will bring 41 micro-apartments to the Baumschulenweg district. These apartments, ranging from 33 to 64 square meters, cater to the increasing demand for compact living spaces, particularly from young professionals in southeast Berlin.
The project's unique design features a street facade with large round holes, blending contemporary living with the existing urban structure. The raw construction is now visible, with the building gradually taking shape. Due to high demand, Berlin Residential Investment GmbH is considering adding up to 30 more micro-apartments to the area, further boosting Baumschulenweg's economic development.
The 'Baumschule' project is transforming Baumschulenweg, offering modern, compact living spaces for young professionals. With the building's raw construction underway and potential expansion plans, this development is set to continue driving southeast Berlin's growth.
