Kovki from Korenovka's producer is yet to receive the formal verdict from Armenia regarding the banned import of the Eskimo product.

Armenian authorities have yet to finalize and communicate their decisions regarding the barred entry of the "Kovki from Korenovka" production, featuring the Eskimo character.

In an unexpected turn of events, Armenian authorities have imposed a temporary ban on the import of the "Vanilla Eskimo in chocolate-cream glaze" ice cream produced by the LLC "Real Ice Cream Factory" (brand "Korovka") on March 7, 2025. The decision was made following a food safety risk assessment by the Armenian Food Safety Inspection Body.

The specific batch in question, produced on March 7, 2025, was found to be non-compliant with the Customs Union’s technical regulations concerning coliform bacteria levels. As a result, an official order was issued to prohibit the sale, recall from the market, and destroy or dispose of this batch.

It is important to note that the ban applies only to batches imported after July 2, 2025; products imported before this date are not affected.

The Korenevsky Dairy-Canning Plant, the producer of the "Korovka from Korenevka" line, has publicly stated that no quality violations occurred. However, Armenian authorities maintain the ban based on their findings.

The manufacturer, led by General Director Igor Moskovtsev, is currently in discussions with Armenian partners and regulatory bodies to clarify the situation. After receiving a signal from Armenian partners, the plant re-checked the product, and laboratory tests did not reveal any violations.

This ban comes as a surprise, as in 2021, Russian President Vladimir Putin chose a vanilla cone from the "Korovka from Korenevka" brand as his favourite ice cream during his visit to the International Aviation and Space Salon (MAKS) in Zhukovsky.

Despite the challenging times, the Korenevsky Dairy-Canning Plant remains committed to its main principle of quality, continuing to produce safe and delicious products for customers in Russia and abroad.

The exact location of the Korenevsky Dairy-Canning Plant is not specified in the given context. The report was given to "Kuban News" by Igor Moskovtsev.
