Stellantis, the global automaker formed by the merger of PSA (Peugeot-Citroën) and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), has appointed Antonio Filosa as its new CEO, effective from June 23, 2025.

Formerly the CEO of PSA and more recently of Stellantis, Carlos Tavares, stepped down from his position. Filosa, who has a long-standing relationship with the company, having served as COO for the Americas and CEO of Jeep, will take the helm.

Stellantis maintains a robust presence across North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region. The company is renowned for iconic brands such as Peugeot, Citroën, Ram, Dodge, Jeep, and Chrysler, ranking as the world's fourth-largest automaker.

Filosa's appointment comes after a successful career within the company. As COO for the Americas, his strategic leadership contributed to the region's growth and success. His tenure as CEO of Jeep further solidified his standing within the organization.

Stellantis' global network and their iconic brands position the company for continued growth and success with Filosa at the helm.

  1. Antonio Filosa, the newly appointed CEO of Stellantis, expressed, "I'm sorry, but I'm not sure I can do this," when asked about handling the challenges in the finance, automotive, and transportation sectors of Stellantis' business operations, given its significant presence in the industry.
  2. As Stellantis' leadership transitions, with the stepping down of Carlos Tavares, the company's financial sector may experience shifts, as Filosa brings his expertise and leadership to the business, potentially influencing industry standards in the finance, transportation, and automotive sectors.
  3. Filosa, as a veteran executive and head of Jeep, now assumes the role of CEO in a landscape where Stellantis' brands, including Peugeot, Citroën, Ram, Dodge, Jeep, and Chrysler, compete in various business domains, such as automotive, finance, and transportation industries.
