Million-dollar Lawsuit Against Anker Technology Ltd by PRIMONO TEC GmbH: Dispute Over Photovoltaic Systems Partnership

Berlin-based PRIMONO TEC GmbH, a leading provider of photovoltaic (solar) systems, has initiated a substantial lawsuit against Anker Technology Ltd. The dispute revolves around a partnership concerning the development, marketing, or distribution of photovoltaic technology.

Key Players - Plaintiff: PRIMONO TEC GmbH, a company with a strong focus on solar energy systems. - Defendant: Anker Technology Ltd, a technology firm likely engaged in related markets.

Nature of Dispute The lawsuit seems to centre around contractual disagreements, potentially including breach of contract, failure to meet partnership obligations, or intellectual property disputes related to photovoltaic system development or commercialization.

Financial Implications The lawsuit is described as "million-dollar," suggesting significant financial claims made by PRIMONO TEC GmbH against Anker Technology Ltd.

Impact Disputes like this can impact ongoing renewable energy projects, supply chains, and collaborative innovation in solar technology industries.

Background The partnership between the two companies had been in the works since autumn 2024, with PRIMONO TEC GmbH serving as the exclusive premium partner for Anker's new home storage system "Solix X1" in Germany. The cooperation was formalised through a contract signed in December 2024. PRIMONO TEC GmbH played a central role in product training, public events, and partner meetings for the introduction of the "Solix X1" system.

However, the partnership took an unexpected turn when PRIMONO TEC GmbH terminated its contract with Anker Technology Ltd. in July 2025, citing numerous issues, such as a lack of delivery of guaranteed contacts, breach of contract, and failure to meet obligations. The termination was followed by the announcement of the judicial enforcement of damage claims.

PRIMONO TEC GmbH claims that they implemented the contract in full trust, taking significant entrepreneurial risks, including building up personnel, investing in IT, training, inventory, and marketing. Despite numerous internal warnings and reminders from PRIMONO TEC GmbH, only 20% of the 5,000 qualified contacts guaranteed for 2025 had been delivered by July 2025.

As of now, an out-of-court settlement has not been reached between PRIMONO TEC GmbH and Anker Technology Ltd. The lawsuit is expected to be filed with the competent regional court in the coming week.
