Agriculture Department of Yakutsk unveils application process for "Agrostart" financial aid grants

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Yakutia has announced the launch of the "Agrostartup" grant competition, aimed at supporting the production and processing of agricultural products in the region. Over 64 million rubles have been allocated for this grant, with a significant portion coming from the federal budget.

The grant competition is open for applications until September 11 and is intended for agricultural startups in Yakutia. To be eligible, applicants must be registered in the rural territory of the republic in the current financial year. They must also be peasant and farmer households, or individual entrepreneurs who lead such households, with the main activity being the production and/or processing of agricultural products.

Applicants are required to contribute at least 10% of the project's cost. The funds from the "Agrostartup" grant can be used to purchase agricultural animals, equipment, machinery, land, and even connect production facilities to engineering communications.

Winners of the competition will be announced by September 27, with funds ranging from 1.5 to 8 million rubles being awarded. For precise information about eligibility, application procedures, funding amounts, and conditions specific to Yakutia, it is necessary to consult official sources such as the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), regional government portals, or local agricultural development offices in Yakutia.

This grant competition is part of a broader trend in Russia, where Agrostartup programs aim to support small agricultural producers, peasant/farmer households, and individual entrepreneurs involved in agriculture by providing financial assistance, subsidies, or grants to start or develop agribusiness projects. These grants usually require applicants to submit a business plan or project proposal demonstrating the viability and innovation of the agricultural startup, use the grant funds for specific purposes, and meet certain criteria set by the regional Ministry of Agriculture.

In Yakutia, the "Agrostartup" grant competition marks an important step in fostering the growth of the agricultural sector and contributing to the region's rural development.

The grant competition is open to agricultural startups in Yakutia that specialize in the production and/or processing of agricultural products. Eligible applicants must be peasant and farmer households, or individual entrepreneurs in the rural territory of Yakutia, with a significant proportion of the funds from this "Agrostartup" grant to be used for purchasing agricultural assets such as animals, equipment, machinery, land, and engineering infrastructure.
