ACMobility Exits Honda Dealerships by 2026, Focusing on Sustainable Mobility
ACMobility, the largest Honda dealer group in the Philippines, is set to exit its Honda dealership operations by the end of 2023. The move, announced by CEO Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, aims to streamline operations and focus on sustainable mobility. Nine Honda branches nationwide will be handed over to new dealer principals starting January 1, 2026.
The transition includes Honda Cars Makati, Pasig, Shaw, Bacoor, Cebu, Mandaue, Iloilo, Negros, and Cagayan de Oro. These branches, currently operated by Iconic Dealership Inc., will be managed by Ayala Corporation and AC Industrials starting 2026. Customers with existing reservations and service appointments need not worry, as they will not be affected by the change.
ACMobility will also exit its distribution of Volkswagen and Maxus vehicles. However, it will retain its dealerships for BYD, Kia, Isuzu, and Kia, along with its Bosch Car Service and EV charging network. The company has sold over 220,000 vehicles since 1990.
ACMobility's exit from Honda dealership operations marks a significant shift in the Philippine automotive industry. The company's focus on sustainable mobility and streamlined operations is set to reshape its business landscape. The transition, while notable, assures customers of business-as-usual until the end of 2023.
