New Group CFO Brings Decades of Experience to COFRA Group
Hans Ploos van Amstel, a seasoned business professional with extensive experience in retail and fast-moving consumer goods, has been appointed as the new Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) by the Board of Directors at COFRA Group.
With a career spanning over 26 years across six different countries and three continents, Ploos van Amstel brings a strong international track record to his new role. He started his professional journey at Procter & Gamble (P&G) in the Netherlands in 1989, where he held several leading Finance positions over a 14-year period in Saudi Arabia, Germany, Belgium, and Switzerland.
After his tenure at P&G, Ploos van Amstel joined Levi Strauss & Co., where he served as Group CFO from 2005 until 2009. He then moved to COFRA Group, serving as CFO from 2009 to 2013 and co-CEO of C&A Europe until 2015.
In his new position, Ploos van Amstel will be based in Switzerland and will focus on strict financial control, price discipline, and cost leadership to further strengthen COFRA Group's leading market position. He will also focus on the company's industry-leading profitability and growth.
Ploos van Amstel has a strong execution track record in retail and fast-moving consumer goods businesses. He has demonstrated his ability to seize opportunities offered by a labor market in fast evolution, as evidenced by his work with EVA concepts throughout his career.
