123-Transporter Bankruptcy Leaves 3,000 Customers Out of Pocket

123-Transporter, a shared mobility service, has filed for bankruptcy, leaving around 3,000 customers out of pocket. The company has amassed 4.7 million euros in debt, primarily unpaid deposits. The public prosecutor's office in Wiener Neustadt is investigating the managing director for severe commercial fraud and embezzlement.

123 Shared Mobility GmbH, the operator of 123-Transporter, has blamed its downfall on TMP Autovermietung, a fleet operator in Styria. The company alleges that TMP deactivated its vehicles electronically and physically manipulated them, depriving 123-Transporter of its entire revenue base.

The managing director of 123-Transporter claims that the fleet operator is responsible for the bankruptcy, not the company. However, the public prosecutor's office is investigating the managing director for severe commercial fraud and embezzlement. Around 4.37 million euros of the 4.7 million euros in debt are unpaid deposits from customers.

Customers are alleging that their deposits have not been refunded and that contract penalties for alleged speeding have been deducted from their accounts. 123-Transporter had rented approximately 400 vehicles from TMP Autovermietung. The booking portals were closed, and the contract with the fleet operator was terminated on September 20, 2025.

The bankruptcy of 123-Transporter has left around 3,000 customers without their deposits and facing potential penalties. The company blames its fleet operator, TMP Autovermietung, while the public prosecutor's office investigates the managing director. The future of the customers' funds remains uncertain.
