£106m Deal Seals New 400-Bed Premier Inn Hotel in London

A new £106m investment deal has been sealed between Rockwell and Aviva Investors for a 400-bed Premier League hotel in London. The development, adjacent to Westferry DLR station, will serve as a gateway to Canary Wharf and create hundreds of jobs.

The development, financed by Landsec, will also include 66 new homes, with 35% designated as affordable housing. Designed by SimpsonHaugh, the 30-storey building is expected to be completed in early 2022. Whitbread will take a 30-year lease of the hotel and restaurant, making it the largest Premier League hotel in central London.

Aviva Investors has acquired the freehold interest of the site through its Lime Property Fund. The hotel is set to become a significant landmark, marking the entrance to Canary Wharf.

The new Premier League hotel, a result of the £106m investment deal, is set to bring significant economic benefits to the area. With its completion in early 2022, it will provide hundreds of jobs and enhance the local community with new affordable housing.
